Q:What is Outdoors and Active?

Outdoors and Active is a non-profit organization designed to allow single
adults to participate in a variety of activities in a group atmosphere.

Q:What are your membership requirements?

We have only two requirements to belong to O&A. You must be single
and at least 21 years of age. (We haven’t made it a requirement that you like to have fun, but that sure helps!)

Q:What does it cost?

Here are our membership dues:

Full Year Half Year Renewal
Hard Copy $38.50 (Jan-Dec) $27.50 (July-Dec) $33.00
Electronic Only $27.50 $27.50 $22.00

If renewal is not received and/or postmarked by Feb. 13, you are considered a new member and must pay New Member Dues ($38.50/$27.50)

Q:How do I join?

That’s easy. Click here to download the online application form on this web site. Print the application, fill it out, sign and return with your payment to the address on the bottom of the application. Important: if you choose the electronic version, you still need to mail in your application with the dues. Within two weeks you will receive your hard copy of the newsletter or instructions on how to download your electronic copy so you can print it yourself.

Q:How and when was the group started?

Maggie Copeland, a school teacher, who wanted company while doing outdoor activities such as tennis, hiking, and canoeing, started O&A in 1983.

Q:What sorts of things do you do?

Our activities include golf, tennis, happy hours, canoe trips, hikes, trips, bike rides, game nights, cookouts and other social events.
