The following are some frequently asked questions.
- What is Outdoors and Active?
Outdoors and Active is a central Florida non-profit organization started in 1983 which brings together single adults age 50+ for friendship and participation in a variety of group activities. We are ALL VOLUNTEER. Your membership fees go into club activities. - What are your membership requirements?
We have only two requirements to belong to O&A. You must be single and you must pay the dues. (We haven't made it a requirement that you like to have fun, but that sure helps!) - What does it cost?
To see the latest rates, click here. Note that new members who join on or after November 1st are joining for the next year and including the rest of this year. Also note that we offer a reduced rate for joining on or after July 1st. - How do I join?
That's easy. You can join on-line right now using your VISA, MasterCard, or PayPal, and the online form, or you can download a PDF paper application to your computer, print it on your computer printer, fill it out and sign it, and mail it with your check or money order to our PO Box, where it will be processed within a month. Click here for either option. - How and when was the group started?
Maggie Copeland, a school teacher, who wanted company while doing outdoor activities such as tennis, hiking, and canoeing, started O&A in 1983. - What sorts of things do you do?
Our activities include golf, happy hours, paddling trips, walks, hikes, weekend trips, bike rides, game nights, social bridge, picnics, cookouts and other social events. - I have a question that's not answered here. How can I find out more?
